In March 2010 the consortium with ETC Crystal, Hanze Hogeschool Groningen en de Rijks Universiteit Groningen was selected by Nuffic to implement the first NICHE project in Tanzania. 

The project name is: Strengthening privately run pre-service health training institutions for enhanced enrolment and quality of health workers.

The project will be implemented during the next four years (March 2010-March 2014).

The project has started with the three-month inception phase from 15th March 2010.
