ETC Crystal
ETC Crystal is a public health consultancy group that promotes equitable and robust health systems which are responsive to local needs in low and middle-income countries. We assist governments, NGOs, development agencies and private enterprises to ensure a good connection between policy and practice in public health and in the domain of HIV/AIDS.
Since its start in 1997, ETC Crystal has engaged in the design, appraisal, technical backstopping and evaluation of health and HIV/AIDS programmes in a variety of countries. We have also implemented programmes ourselves.
Consultancy forms the main part of our work. We offer short- and medium-term consultancy services at the request of a large variety of clients and based on an agreed terms of reference. In our consultancy assignments we often combine technical advice with strengthening of the local capacities of our clients.
Apart from availing technical expertise, we also offer management and mediation services, undertake operational research and offer training.
Who are we?
The ETC Crystal group consists of eight professionals and five associate consultants, all with an interest in international public health. Having trained as medical doctors, sociologists, nutritionists, economists or management specialists, with various post-graduate specialisations, we are a multidisciplinary group that seeks to bring together various types of expertise and skills. By doing so, we believe we are more effective in promoting equitable and robust health systems, and we derive more satisfaction from our work.
ETC Crystal is a business unit within the ETC International Group, a network of professional organisations with offices in six countries and with its head office in Leusden, The Netherlands.
